ISAE’s Board of Directors plays a vital role in guiding the direction of the organization and advancing our mission to build stronger leaders who lead stronger associations. ISAE's Leadership Development Committee is now accepting nominations for individuals interested in serving on the ISAE Board.

Whether you’re nominating yourself or someone else, this is an opportunity to help shape the future of Indiana’s association industry while giving back to a community of peers and professionals.

The Leadership Development Committee seeks to fill the following positions:

  • Board Director (Association Professional member): Three-year term, starting January 1, 2026
  • Board Director (Supplier member, non-hospitality): Two-year term, starting January 1, 2026

The deadline to submit nominations is May 15, 2025.

Qualities of a Good Candidate

  • Passionate about the association industry and committed to ISAE’s mission
  • Active and engaged professionals, including association executives, staff, and supplier members
  • Willing to be strategic thinkers and dedicated contributors
  • Ready to champion ISAE’s growth, events, and membership

We value diversity in perspective, role, background, and career stage. Prior volunteer experience is welcome but not required.

Board Member Responsibilities

  • Actively engage in work required to execute ISAE programs and services, including member/sponsor cultivation, on-site volunteer roles, and planning committee involvement
  • Promote and advocate for ISAE’s mission and programs
  • Support member engagement and serve as ambassadors at ISAE programs
  • Contribute to the development of strategic goals and organizational policies
  • Uphold ISAE’s bylaws, ethics, and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Board members are expected to attend in-person and virtual meetings, including quarterly Board meetings, the ISAE annual convention, and other key events. Time commitments vary, but Board members should plan to attend 4 - 6 meetings per year, ranging from 2 - 3 hours, depending on the agenda.
